French Connection are one of those brands that I always turn to when I want a classic piece that will last: my black leather is still perfectly in tact four years on. I always take advantage of their sale for this reason and voila here are the items I have my eye on. These slingbacks are my personal favourite from the sale- snakeskin, a pointed toe and a kitten heel= perfection in my book.
Another Amsterdam outfit: shot on the canal bridge beside our hotel. Baggy trousers, baggy tee and leather jacket is a standard holiday outfit for me. Comfort goes a long way when you're in 20+ degrees, there's something about skinny jeans and tight tops that seems so unappealing. I recently got Instagram!
We all have that jumper that we steal from our boyfriend, I'm still working to try and make it a permanent addition to my wardrobe. I picked up these jeans in a vintage store in Amsterdam, isn't second hand just the best? The guarantee of an original piece plus the guarantee that you won't see anyone else wearing it= perfect. I went ahead and bought the Clarks sale shoes I mentioned in my last post here- literally the comfiest shoes I have ever worn, and for me to say that about a heeled shoe is a big statement.

7.HERE 8.HERE9.HERE 10.HERE11.HERE I'm back! We had the best time in Amsterdam- it's such an amazing/crazy/exciting/busy city and I definitely plan on going back. I've got a ton of outfit photos waiting to be edited so expect those soon. But for now.. it's sale time. Personally I'm not a fan of searching the rails in overcrowded stores (isn't sale shopping online much easier?) so I've rounded up my favourite shoe picks from online retailers. Number four and ten sit at the top of my wishlist and- lets face it- it probably won't be long until they're sitting in my wardrobe. Are you an online sale shopper or do you prefer in-store?
Provided this has uploaded at the scheduled time, I should be in Amsterdam right now! This is my first ever timed post, it feels so odd to write... it's like a message for the future. Just a quick outfit post: as unoriginal as it is, I do love all white outfits in the summer. Fresh, clean and bright can never be wrong, right? These lace beauties are a new addition to my collection that I can't get enough of, I seem to have a slight 4 inch heel-boot problem: I just can't stop buying them.
Just one more excited holiday post, I promise... I' m currently trying to cut down the amount of clothes to pack (my boyfriend keeps reminding me that we're sharing a case and that means 50:50 space allocation). My wardrobe plan while away is to live in baggy shirts, structured skirts and trousers with the occasional dress/kimono thrown in for night time. My fake Birkenstocks and white sandals will also appear frequently throughout the day. What's your typical holiday wardrobe? I've finally got instagram!
As I keep mentioning, I'm heading to Amsterdam this Tuesday (!!) and I've been looking for a printed shift dress to tag along with me. I have to admit I'm not much of a dress girl... I don't like anything tight but at the same time I don't like anything too baggy so shifts are the perfect compromise. This white design from Red Label will definitely be travelling with me: its a great length and the retro print is like something you'd expect to find in Camden market. Teamed with heavy boots and aviators, its the perfect outfit for walking around a city. What do you think of it?
Black has always been my comfort zone- black jeans, black jumper and black boots is pretty standard for me. What do you think of completely black outfits? I consciously try to wear more colour (provided it doesn't clash with my dip dye, aka bright yellow) but always revert back to the dark and boring- I feel like its easier to wear a variety of textures if they are all one colour.
Next Tuesday I will be flying to Amsterdam! Expect some serious tourist photos in the weeks to come. I plan on setting up some timed posts in the next few days so hopefully these will upload while I'm away.
