Take me back

jumper ASOS HERE/ skirt Zara/ shoes ASOS HERE/ earrings Topshop

Throwback to Amsterdam when I had a tan and could safely walk outside without 3+ layers. Those were the days...
What do you think of the skirt? I'm definitely going to transition it into spring again this year, I can't get enough of the marble print.
Happy Wednesday!

Zara SS15

Zara's Spring/Summer collection for 2015 is finally here!
The typical flowy, soft fabrics that we expect from the store are back in full force with more unique skirt shapes and shirt cuts. Yet, the pieces are unexpectedly monotone in comparison to their previous summer designs: aside from the mustard shirt and orange sweater shown there is little colour in the collection.

Luckily for me, the coming months in Edinburgh are rarely filled with sun so I can take full advantage of Zara's new dark pieces, however I do hope they'll bring out some colourful designs for when my sunny holiday arrives. But, I can't deny, the lacey heels and fold-over skirt are already on my wish list.

Discussion: How do you dress in winter?

jacket Topshop HERE/ bag Mango/ jumper Zara/ jeans Topshop HERE/ boots ASOS/ sunglasses ASOS HERE

Although easy to lair a couple of jumpers under a thick coat, I find dressing in winter very difficult. My go-to combination of kitten heels and a polo neck under a fur jacket is becoming increasingly monotonous but has to stay because it's too annoyingly cold to wear anything else, so I've been trying to add dainty accessories to shake things up.
The snake print Mango bag was a sale steal and the hexagon earrings are an old ASOS buy, the sunglasses were admittedly unnecessary- it is January in Scotland- but the contrast against the lace boots went well.

How do you find dressing in winter? Do you have a go-to outfit that looks good but is also warm?

Tartan Throwback

jacket Zara/ cardigan (similar) Urban Outfitters HERE/ shirt Topshop on sale HERE/ trousers Topshop HERE/ boots Topshop last season/ bag Urban Outfitters/

Love re-discovering old clothing in the back of your wardrobe- I feel like I've acquired a new jacket without paying for it!
You may recognise the tartan mohair from one of my firsts posts if you've been following me a while, fortunately I've developed from the boring jumper and black doc-martin-lookalikes that I paired it with last time. Hope you're having a good xmas break X

An exciting addition

They may not be the Ghost Leopard heels that Carvela have had me lusting after for months, but these ASOS dupes are excitingly similar. Red, leopard print and a walk able 4 inch heel mean these beauties are not leaving my feet until the party season has ended. As a self-admitted shoe addict, I'm usually able to avert buying that extra pair of shoes because- as my friends and family often remind me- the last thing you need is another pair of shoes. But you can't argue with this design: the purchase was 100% necessary.

University blues

Brief outfit post today: my University exams are vast approaching so the majority of my days have been spent cramming- as much as I love the Christmas markets and present buying, the festivities will have to wait . Although... I have managed to find some online shopping time and my high street xmas wishlist will be uploaded next week! At least by then I'll be one exam down, wish me luck X
